Guided sightseeing in the cities features the must-see sites, including the cog railway in Rio de Janeiro that takes you to the summit of Corcovado to view the infamous Christ the Redeemer statue and 360-degree views of the surrounding tropical forests, pristine beaches, and panoramic views of the bustling city and Guanabara Bay. During your guided walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, see some of the finest colonial architecture in the Americas, the 17th-century Jesuit Cathedral, and the baroque Church of St. Francis. Learn about this port city and its varied past, including being the first slave trading center in the Americas, which is why today it's considered the center for Afro-Brazilian culture. You'll also have a free day to explore on your own or to take an optional excursion in both cities. Continue north to the banks of the Amazon River where you will find the gateway city to the Amazon, Manaus. Evidence of the opulent era in the late 19th century can still be seen during your city tour including the ornate Opera House built from materials brought from Europe.

You'll visit a native Amazon village to see what life is like on the Amazon River and you'll enjoy Naturalist-guided walks to see the flora and fauna that thrive in the Amazon. You'll cruise down the Rio Negro to the Meeting of the Waters, where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes come together to form the mighty Amazon River. You'll also visit a monkey jungle reserve, where researchers work to rehabilitate primates and where you'll have a chance to get up close to the monkeys.

From the lively cities to the natural sounds of the jungle, this value-minded Brazil tour has it all! Be sure to bring your camera and get ready for a trip of a lifetime!

Your city tour features sites from Manaus' glorious past at the turn of the century. See the downtown area, including Sao Sebastiao Square, Palacio Rio Negro, the Customs House, and the cathedral.
